Terms and Conditions

1. Overview

These Terms and Conditions govern the enrollment and attendance of students at Kings Ridge International School . By enrolling your child at the School or completing the application form, you acknowledge and agree to be bound by these Terms.

The School reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Notification of changes will be provided to parents/guardians via email or through our website.

2. Enrollment & Admission

Eligibility: The School welcomes applications from students ages 6 months to 18 years. Placement is determined based on age, assessment results, and available capacity.

Application Process: Parents/guardians must complete the online application form and submit required documents:

  • Birth certificate or passport
  • Previous school report cards (if applicable)
  • Proof of residence

Admission Decision: Decisions are made within 7 working days of receipt of the complete application. A conditional offer letter will be issued, and full enrollment confirmation will be provided upon receipt of the enrollment fee.

Right of Admission: The School reserves the right to refuse admission or to withdraw enrollment if a student or parent/guardian fails to comply with School policies or demonstrates conduct incompatible with the School's values.

3. School Fees & Payment

Fee Structure: Detailed fee schedules are provided at enrollment. Fees are reviewed annually and parents/guardians will be notified of any changes before the academic year.

Payment Terms:

  • Fees are due by the 15th of each month or as invoiced
  • Accepted payment methods: Bank transfer, mobile money, cash

Non-Payment: Students whose fees remain unpaid for more than 60 days may be suspended from classes. The School reserves the right to withhold academic records and certificates until all outstanding fees are cleared.

Refund Policy: Fees are non-refundable except in cases of overpayment or withdrawal within 14 days of enrollment (minus administrative fees).

4. Student Conduct & Discipline

Students are expected to adhere to the School's Code of Conduct, which promotes respect, integrity, and responsibility. Violations may result in disciplinary action, including:

  • Verbal warning
  • Written warning
  • Detention or in-school suspension
  • Suspension (temporary or permanent)
  • Expulsion

Prohibited Conduct: The School has zero tolerance for:

  • Bullying, harassment, or violence
  • Use, possession, or distribution of drugs or alcohol
  • Theft or vandalism
  • Cheating or academic dishonesty
  • Sexual misconduct or inappropriate behavior

Parents/guardians will be informed of serious violations and may be required to attend a disciplinary meeting.

5. Attendance Policy

Regular Attendance: Students are expected to attend school regularly. Excessive absences may result in academic consequences and disciplinary action.

Absence Procedures:

  • Parents/guardians must notify the School on the day of absence

Lateness: Students arriving after 7:00 AM are considered late and may miss important lessons. Repeated lateness will be communicated to parents/guardians.

6. Health & Safety

Medical Information: Parents/guardians must provide accurate and complete medical information, including allergies, medications, and emergency contacts at enrollment.

Medications: The School will administer prescribed medications only if accompanied by a written request from a parent/guardian and a healthcare provider's instructions. All medications must be in original, labeled containers.

Illness Policy: Students who are ill (fever, cough, rash, etc.) should remain home until they are well. The School reserves the right to send home ill students or require a medical clearance before return.

Safety: The School maintains secure facilities with controlled access, emergency procedures, and trained staff. Parents/guardians agree that the School may take reasonable safety measures, including supervision during activities and field trips.

7. Privacy & Data Protection

The School collects and processes personal information in accordance with applicable data protection laws. Information is used for enrollment, communication, student development, and safety purposes.

Data Usage: The School may use student images and names in promotional materials, yearbooks, and official communications unless parents/guardians opt out in writing.

Third Parties: Information may be shared with education authorities, examination bodies, and other schools with parental consent or as required by law.

Confidentiality: The School maintains confidential student records and restricts access to authorized personnel only.

8. Liability & Indemnification

Assumption of Risk: Parents/guardians acknowledge that participation in school activities involves inherent risks. The School takes reasonable precautions but cannot guarantee prevention of injury or loss.

Limitation of Liability: The School is not responsible for loss, damage, or theft of personal items brought to school. Students should not bring valuable items to campus.

Indemnification: Parents/guardians agree to indemnify and hold harmless the School and its staff from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from the student's conduct or actions.

9. Amendments to Terms

The School reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. Changes will be communicated to parents/guardians via email and posted on the School website. Continued enrollment constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.
